London Calling…

Well the Super Lamb Bananas are gone, and although I’m a bit behind in uploading photos to Flickr, I’m already looking ahead to this weekend. I’m off to London.

I’m off early tomorrow, and we’ve booked into a Novotel. We’re going to see the sights, the London Eye, and I’ve booked a tour at BBC’s Television Centre. I’m hoping to be tweeting through my iPhone for the whole trip, something I did in Newcastle too (but that was when I still had the Viewty).

You’ll be able to follow my updates here and my locations here.

See you next week!

iPhone

Well, I said I was getting an iPhone, but I sure didn’t expect to get it this soon! I actually got it last Wednesday, but I’ve been so busy playing around with it that I haven’t got round to writing a blog post about it (until now!).

It’s amazing as a phone, amazing as a mobile device in all. I love the internet, the apps and the GPS. It’s so much better than the Viewty I had until last week. So far, I’ve installed iPint, Twinkle and Tap Tap Revenge. These are really cool, free apps from the App Store on iTunes.

It’s a phenomenal phone, and I can’t really describe it in any other way! Apple and O2 are fantastic.

Goodbye T-Mobile!

Out of some miracle I’ve managed to get myself out of an 18-month T-Mobile contract which was started in April. Because at the time, we dealt via Fonehouse instead of T-Mobile direct, they really messed something up and we were being billed more than we should have.

So, what’s next? I’m going to O2. And Apple. That’s right – I’m getting an iPhone (:

Fog on the Tyne!

I had to use an inventively named title for this blog post! Well, I’m off to Newcastle this weekend. The last time I went to Newcastle was a few years back, when I went with my Dad to work one day. This time it’s all of us going.

We’re going to visit the Centre for Life, and also go round the shops. My sister seemed dissapointed when I told her that MetroLand (the theme park inside the Metro Centre) shut down in April. I’m hoping to take a truckload of pictures too, so I can have more things on my Flickr photostream than just Super Lamb Bananas. ( :

Beijing 2008 Opening Ceremony

I tuned in to BBC at 12:45pm today, quite excited about the beginning of what would be a very unique Olympiad in its own right. Surrounded by the political controversy with Tibet, Human Rights and the censorship, it’s hard for you to appreciate the stunning work that the Chinese have done without your mind wondering over to the hardships that the nation likes to hide.

But the ceremony started off nevertheless, with a stunning countdown and then some amazing performances from 15,000 people. Along with an amazing fireworks display above the capital, the event was truly spectacular. No wonder the Chinese trust in the number eight as their lucky number…
