You should pick up an HD player secondhand for your xbox - even though it's been discontinued it's the cheapest way to get HD content without a subscription. HMV has loads of HD discs on for 3 or 4 quid..really good way to get a cheap library of HD content. Great site by the way - drop me a line if you're after any work. Nice setup.
